Wassledine’s privacy policy

Information we collect

Personal information is any information that can be used to identify you, such as a name, address, telephone number or email address. The amount of information we collect and use about you will vary depending on your relationship with us. The main circumstances when we collect your data are:

Consent – where you have given us clear and informed permission for example by subscribing to our newsletter database, either verbally or by subscribing via our web site

Contractual  – where you have bought some of our goods or services

Using Your Personal Information

If you have opted to subscribe to our mailing list, we will retain your details until you request that they are removed. We will then use the email address to send you information about Wassledine’s products, offers and opportunities.

In every other case, we will only use your personal data for the following purposes and we will not keep such data longer than is necessary to fulfil these purposes:

  • To help us to identify you when you contact us.
  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us.
Disclosure to third parties

We will not disclose your personal data to any third party except in only two circumstances:

  • If we, or substantially all of our assets, are acquired or are in the process of being acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by us, about our customers, will be one of the transferred assets.
  • If we have been legitimately asked to provide information for legal or regulatory purposes or as part of legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings.
Information about business associates

If you are a company who has a business relationship with us, we collect administrative information about your representatives, plus your payment details and history. This may include contact information, communication history and bank details. This information is always provided by you directly. We do not share your information with anyone externally, except our external financial auditors who may need to look at payment histories to carry out their regulatory audit.

We collect your information on the basis of purchase agreements, which are a type of contract. Using this information ensures the goods and services we are buying from you, or selling to you, are delivered in the agreed way and paid as required. You do not have the right to object to us collecting this information, or restricting how it is used, because you have already agreed to us having and using it as part of the purchase agreement.

How we store your information

We use a third-party mailing service (Mailchimp) for the purposes of sending html email marketing messages to our database of customers. Mailchimp also stores names and email addresses of people on our database.

Other records of orders and sales are stored with contact information in a spreadsheet electronically. No paper versions are kept.

We currently do not accept payment with any form of credit, debit or charge card so no such details are collected. Should we begin to use these methods of payment we will amend this policy and inform you of any intention to store such details.

Keeping your information

We will only keep your information for as long as is necessary for the purpose it was collected. Once this has been completed, we will ask if you would like us to retain your contact details in the future for the purpose of keeping you in touch with Wassledine’s future developments and offers. If you do not wish us to retain your details, we will delete them at this point.

Right to access: You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you. If you wish to see it, you can submit a request to us and we will respond within one month. Depending on the nature of your request, we may need to seek further clarification from you or gain confirmation of your identity before the information can be provided.

Right to erasure: You have the right to request we erase the information we hold about you from our records if you think it is no longer required. Where possible, we will always comply with a request for erasure. We like to keep our customers and supporters updated with news about Wassledine.

Removal from electronic mailing list: If you would rather not receive marketing information from us, you can let us know at any time, either by contacting us directly on 01462 711815 or info@wassledine.co.uk or by unsubscribing on any of our marketing emails.

Right to restriction: If you think your personal information is being used for things it shouldn’t be, you have the right to request we stop using it that way. As with erasure, there may be legal or contractual obligations why we need to continue using information in particular ways
