Jane started a career in environmental education and countryside management, but soon became sidetracked by storytelling.
Naturally she first discovered storytelling outside, in the woods, and found it was a wonderful way to captivate an audience and engage people’s imagination. From her first encounter with storytellers over 20 years ago Jane never forgot the stories she heard and has been telling those tales ever since, gradually building up a wide repertoire of traditional stories to share. Jane’s love and knowledge of the natural world combined with her skills as a storyteller enable her to deliver exciting and educational outdoor experiences.

Storytelling in the woods
For a few days in the year Bottoms’ Corner Wood unlocks its gate to welcome you to special storytelling events. In a beautiful woodland setting you can enjoy tradition stories; fairy, folk and animal tales on a walk though the trees to a secret glade for a tea party. All events are aimed at adults and children over 5 years old (unless otherwise specified). All children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking and payment in advance are essential.
