Jane will be weary come Friday!
On Saturday evening she had a lovely time in Campton Wood telling stories to about 40 people, linked to some fantastic wood carvings that Central Beds Council have commissioned there. It’s well worth a visit if you haven’t been.
She’s at the Forest Centre in Marston Moretaine today running an activity day for kids entitled It’s a hoot which features some splendid and pretty tasty owls/digestive biscuits. One of the many pleasures of being Jane’s partner is testing stuff she produces – someone has to. I needed a couple to be sure they were ok. If you are reading this early on Monday, there may the odd space left – more details.
On Wednesday Jane’s at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Wisley Gardens, near Woking, Surrey where she is telling stories in one of their wonderful glass houses. That will be a long day for her with lots of sessions through the day. Might be nice in a glass house as long as it’s a warm one. Find out more
Thursday sees her at a Wild Woods Day in Northaw Great Wood in Cuffley, Herts. There will be bats, chainsaw carving, bushcraft, storytelling (of course) and lots more. Details here
And then it’s back to the Forest Centre on Friday for Helping Hedgehogs a chance to make some of the cutest model hedgehogs and hedgehog houses you can imagine. All designed to encourage everyone to help those prickly mammals make it through the winter. More information
